What is the Couples for Kids Program?

Couples for Kids is a volunteer program where you and your partner (couples should have been together for at least 2 years) can mentor a child together! You’ll spend time with a young person doing activities you all enjoy—whether that’s painting, learning to cook, golfing, or anything else you love. It’s a fun way to bond with your partner while making a big difference in a child’s life.

How much time do I need to commit?

Mentors meet with a young person once a week for 2-4 hours. The commitment is for at least one year.

What would I do as a Mentor?

As a mentor, you and your partner will spend time with a child, creating fun and meaningful experiences together. You’ll get to share your interests and try new activities as a group. It’s all about building a friendship and making great memories.

What is the focus of this Program?

This program is about connection—between you, your partner, and a child who could benefit from extra support. We do our best to match you with a child who shares similar interests, but part of the fun is learning new things from each other.

What might be the impact of the program?

By volunteering together, you and your partner can be a positive influence in a child’s life. You’ll help them grow in confidence, learn new skills, and feel supported—while also strengthening your own relationship through shared experiences.
